The Weston Town Center consists of approximately 36 acres of commercial / office – retail buildings centered about a “turn of the century” main street theme. The master planned development is the product of over two years of planning and 24 months in construction. It is comprised of 450,000 SF of construction arrayed in a two story scheme which houses offices, retail stores, second floor studio offices, restaurants (both in-line and freestanding), a Publix supermarket, a lakefront park, the city’s Town Hall, a band shell in the park, a lanyard tree flagship, and the Bell Tower, the Town Centers’ main street icon. This project is the home to many of Weston’s entrepreneurial citizens, as most of its tenants boast an address in the same town. The project costs are in the vicinity of 35 to 40 million dollars and the retail portion is expected to be sold in fiscal 2003.
Weston’s Town Center is the “a to z” of activities. It can start with breakfast and finish on the lawn (the lakefront park) with a concert at the band shell.

From one end to the other you find: A supermarket, anchoring the north end of main street, and City Hall at the south. And in between is an array of retailers, pop corn vendors, chocolate confectioners, hair cutters, barber shops, books, coffee shops, active wear, art gallery, home furnishings and accessories, gourmet cheese shop, jazz bar, fine clothiers, and a myriad of restaurants to suit all palates.

The Main Street experience, a concept which is not new; it is the turn of the century “home town” feeling which can only be described as the vibrant center of activity which is heart and soul of the town. A “sense of place”, this is where we want to go when we want to see our friends, or drink a cup of coffee, or take the family out for a bite or a bike ride, or a lazy Sunday afternoon walk.

The Lakefront Park is the culmination of the linear park which connects the Weston Town Center to its residents via the extensive pedestrian ways which connect the city residential neighborhoods.

At the park you will find a band shell, a seating wall and various locations for leisure walks and picnics on the green. The waterfront is enhanced in the evening with fiber optic lights that change in color all along the water’s edge, just below the bulkhead so that the park is announced to the main arrival arterial, Arvida Parkway to the south.

The overall master plan is designed such that the main cross streets can be closed for street / block parties, festivals and the like and traffic to and from the parking is not impaired while pedestrians are given free access to all parts of Town Center.

23,000 SF two story building to accommodate City of Weston governmental functions, commission chambers, offices for State Senator and Representative & Staffing.

The Neo-Classical Entrance Portico with majestic contemporary columns flanks the Town Square which lies in the forecourt of the south terminus to the Weston Town Center Main Street concept.

City Hall is connected to the Offices at Town Center by a cloister type colonnade on each side thereby enclosing the Town Square plaza for public / private events.

The Bell Tower

The undisputed ICON of the Weston Town Center, complete with bells, clocks, and chimes for every season and the evening meeting spot for new comers to Weston.
At its base is the Great seal of the City of Weston with the commemorative plaque giving credos to Arthur Vining Davis, founder / visionary of Arvida, the developer of Weston, Florida.
Through its portals run the axes of the main pedestrian ways of the Town Center and the dividing line which separates the high energy of the Retail Sector from the subdued, professional atmosphere of the Office Park.

The Bell Tower, visible from Arvida Parkway (the main thoroughfare in Weston and a feeder road to the I-75 Expressway), is 50 feet tall and can easily be seen and heard from anywhere in the Town Center and surrounding areas.
